In the past year, Gillig has benefitted a lot due to the economy, since they are frequently the lowest bidder when it comes to RFPs in the United States. More TAs are resorting to awarding contracts to the lowest bidder, rather than the most compliant bidder.Orion, on the other hand, tends to bid uncompetitively high for most TAs. With the economy the way it is, there is no way Orion can compete with the other manufacturers with their uncompetitively high bids for contracts. |
