From the MTA NYCT Rulebook (that doesn't officially exist):
Rule 7.04
7.04(a) Operators must familiarize themselves with and obey all regulations of the Police, Traffic Departments and Vehicle and Traffic Laws.
Bus Operators are required to follow the instructions of any police officer who properly identifies him/herself noting the name, badge and precinct of said officer on the Daily Trip Sheet and to the Command Center.
