IIRC, LBT placed an order for 15 buses, but GMC sent the first one early (4477) in order for LBT to have the 10,000th RTS in 1985. The balance of the order (4478-4491) arrived in 1986. Those were the last buses that LBT received from GMC as well as the last RTS-04s, the next order was in late 1989, for RTS-06s from TMC (8901-8927). LBT would order more -06 in 1990, then -08s in 1992 and 1993. Following that, they decided to go low floor, and since TMC did not have a now-floor offering at that time, they switched to New Flyer Industries for 20 D40LFs (9401-9420). |
