The N19 is losing 11 of its 31 trips Monday-to-Friday. It is losing 9 trips on Saturday and keeping the Sunday hourly service. From my casual observation, many workers at stores and services along the route depend on the bus, in particular, getting to work at Sunrise Mall. East of Sunrise Mall, there are shoppers returning to their homes through East Massapequa and more on-and-off traffic on the commercial mileage of Merrick Road and Montauk Highway.---- Link to my Seaford blog The N54 is remaining at hourly service, six days a week. |
