I'm sure the N21 is having more than 25% of it's service cut. Glen Cove got a raw deal big time, while Massapequa keeps all of its N80 and N81 buses. I lost quite a bit of respect for Veolia on that. They say they want to reduce the amount of empty buses, but N27s and N21's are rarely empty, whereas 90% of the N80 and N81s have 5 people or less on them. Its a major BS alert. I've had little luck bring this issue to attention of the media, and it seems the Bus Riders Union didn't bring it up either, despite my telling them. How deep are the pockets of Peter Schmitt to pay off all these ppl to be quiet? |
