Twelve people were injured in a bus accident in Brooklyn today, fire officials said.The collision occurred shortly after 10 a.m. after a car blew through a red light on Avenue J and rammed into a B11 bus, said MTA spokesman Kevin Ortiz. At least three of the dozen people injured were passengers on the bus, Ortiz said. The victims were taken to Lutheran Medical Center and Kings County Hospital. The smashup occurred at Ocean Ave. and Avenue J in Midwood at 9:55 a.m., police said. Witnesses told police a small truck registered to the Jewish Association Servicing the Aging ran a red light while heading south on Ocean and hit a Toyota Corolla traveling west on Avenue J. The truck flipped on its side. The bus, which was eastbound on Avenue J, swerved to avoid the collision and rammed into an apartment building. No pedestrians were struck.
