Just for the record, MaBSTOA was formally created by an act of the New York State Legislature this date 50 years ago back then on March 19, 1962. After the City of New York made condemnation proceedings in taking over the physical properies, equipment and fleets of Fifth Avenue Coach and Surface Transit, regular service operations started slowly to begin about four days later.-William A.
