Posted by Gold_12TH on Sat Mar 3 15:05:17 2012 " - Printed maps are expected to be printed and distributed by approximately April 1st.- The N88 will be ran this summer. However, NICE has said they are also accessing the idea of running the N87 this summer as well. - All bus stop signs that currently say "Long Island Bus" are expected to be replaced by the end of the year. - Those new Orion VII 3G CNGs that NICE ordered will be delivered in the 3rd Quarter of this year. They WILL have Clever Devices installed in them, that will be taken from the older 1500s and 1600s currently in the fleet. - The older 1500s and 1600s that end up being retired (which will be about 40 of them) are expected to be auctioned off to the public by the county as Veolia tells me. - Depending on how the current planned changes go in April, the N80/81 will not be changed in this go around. If more changes need to be made, NICE said they would probably go ahead and change it. However, I asked Veolia why they didn't change the route this time and they said they ran into "problems" when attempting to alter the route.
