IINM, the MTA's policy on accidents is identical to FDNY's: the ONLY "non-preventable accident" is getting struck squarely in the rear by another vehicle. EVERYTHING else is "chargeable". In this case, the MTA will find that the B/O didn't use the set of eyes in the back of her head that all B/O's are issued at hiring...But seriously, this poor woman will be fighting for her job. |
