I never really considered the express service to be competing with the LIRR, but on at least some level it might just be doing so. Instead, I viewed this as likely being the result of Veolia looking at their deadheads and, then smartly opening them up to fare-paying passengers. Maybe someday there will be additional "express" services operating between places like, say, downtown Flushing and the Veolia garage! |
