It gets quite silly, although when it comes to me busfanning, I ride what I like, and that's Orion 5.501s. I spend a lot of time in Staten Island and I like Orion 5s and that's also what I tend to take photos of as well more than other bus types, but I TOTALLY agree with what you quoted in that last sentence.When it comes to taking care of business, whether it's school, work or doing odd jobs for my parents, I don't care what the hell I ride as long as the bus is doing it's job, which is to get me from point A to B. In the worst case scenario the bus has has failing A/C, I open a window and deal with it. Some people have higher expectations, but it's public transportation. Nothing is ever going to be perfect. It gets under my skin when people bash the MTA to oblivion. If you're really fed up with their service, don't use it. |
