Those Blue Birds were an emergency fleet put in place when much of LOOP's fleet burned several years back when part of their garage (shared with Poughkeepsie Transit) caught fire. It burned a couple of the other 1998 Phantoms and I believe some of their 2000 Orion V's too which led to the decrease of the fleet.That Poughkeepsie Transit Thomas (built 2002, delivered very early 2003) is the only one in the fleet and was falling apart within a year of entering service. It's been banished to the Shoppers Special route for a few years at least. |
