Does anyone know the scheduled runs or times for 6259 which is supposed to be on the S61 on Mon? Also, for 2969 & 9098 on the BX7 & Bx30 on Mon? I plan on riding them but don't want to take pot-luck standing in the cold. Thanks.

AFAIK there are no "scheduled runs or times" for the vintage buses. Unless you have the cell phone number of the B/O driving that vintage bus on that day, and he arrives at the depot and is able to pull out when he predicted in advance that he would, then there is no way to know when the bus will be in-service at any specific location on any specific day. Also, there are no guarantees that the buses in the posted schedule will run on their assigned route or on any route in the city.

You have two options for finding a vintage bus in service, assuming you don't have an automobile and abundant parking available to you:

1) Pick a bus stop along the route and wait for the bus.

2) Go stand outside the depot and hopefully the B/O will pick you up as he pulls out and heads over to his starting point.

Note that #2 is the only way to ensure with full confidence whether the bus is still in the depot or not. To ensure you actually have a chance of riding the bus, assuming it pulls out, you should get to the depot well before the start of the IMO range of estimated pull out times, which are 8:30am-10:30am and 1:00pm-4:00pm.

However, since it seems that you have no interest in standing out in the cold, unless you get someone to allow you to wait inside a heated section of the depot, or you wait somewhere indoors with a view of a bus stop, you will not be riding the vintage buses. You could hire a black car to drive you along the route until you find the bus.
