Well, this makes sense though. New Flyer "officially" discontinued the LF line quite a while ago. IMO, it would have been incredibly dumb of the MTA to go get the original LF design considering that:a) These new buses are replacing the old ones, so parts compatibility really isn't that necessary b) They run a fleet of modern looking Orion VII NGs and Novabus LFSs, so why, pray tell, would they buy new buses that look like they were built in the mid 1990s? Things change from time to time, though...no need to beat up on people, especially if the people reporting the news aren't the people making the decision. |
