You know you both really have very good points. A photograph is a reflection of what the photographer sees. That's why there are portraits with white backgrounds and busy city scenes...there's no one size fits all to photography, which makes it so great!Nobody here is a perfect photographer, and everyone can learn from one another. Even master photographers can learn something from another photographer. The first and one of the most important rules of photography is to make sure that obstacles aren't blocking your subject. It's hard as heck to do in New York, but if you can get a bus shot (with a bustling background) without cars or people IN FRONT of it (but they can be around it), that really helps. With that picture number three, I would have waited until the traffic stopped or time it so I could get a quick break in traffic to get a clear shot of the RTSs. Bee Flexible offered some honest feedback that can really help. Why not listen to it? Also, for everyone on this board, including Mr. Terrapin, automatically slamming pics whether they are good, relatively decent, etc is not a cool thing to do. It discourages others who may be learning and aren't "experts" to not post pictures or take them at all! |
