Cheap way out for Alert Coach Lines out of Amityville, for the bus that did most of its service on the Amityville to Walt Whitman Mall route. When the county took over, they combined this route with Huntington Coach's Halesite to WW Mall into today's S-1.I remember that bus as being white. As mentioned before, that bus was loving driven by a fellow, Frankie, who didn't want any other buses, even when Alert offered to buy him a more modern bus. |
