I don't want to get into a conversation with you because of one of our past conversations which I don't even remember, but something you said made me never want to discuss anything with you again. But I'll answer your question this time only.I wasn't referring to this specific Bronx situation which may or may not be true. I was speaking in general that these service cuts are causing many people where routes are being shortened, to require a third bus and extra fare to complete their trip. A good example is the B48 in Brooklyn where the MTA stated, people can just transfer to the B49 to continue south of Fulton Street. However, anyone who boarded the B48 with a transfer cannot just transfer to the B49 without paying extra. The point about people being forced to buy unlimiteds relates to this. One purchases an unlimited if it is cost efficient depending on the number of trips made. If someone will now have to pay a double fare because of the service cuts, the threshold where it makes sense to purchase an unlimited declines drastically. That's what I meant by saying "being forced to purchase an unlimited." |
