AM General seemed to be getting its act together by 1977-78. Boston’s MBTA had massive problems with their 1976 order (40-footers 9200-9287, 35-footers 9700-9739) and many of these buses were out of service after just a few years, but the 1978 order (40-footers #9000-9049 and 9300-9339) were much more reliable and a number of those buses made it to 12 years before being replaced by TMC RTS’s. |
