The trolley was originally part of the BMT, which NYC took over in 1940. The cars stopped running in 1949, one of the last trolleys in Queens and definitely the last trolley route to serve Flushing. The replacement buses were called "58 CORONA" and used the 1950 Bingham Macks until about 1960, when the TA's second group of New Look GMs replaced the Macks. |
