I just wanted to make the point that even the suburban models cannot take the highway stretches these routes take, particularly the ones via the Turnpike.Yes they can. NJT has been running their artics (Volvo, Neoplan) on the NJ Turnpike for 25 years, both transit (on the 78) and suburban. Pittsburgh has been running transit (MAN, Ikarus, Neoplan) and suburban (Neoplan) artics on their busways (50 mph speed) and in highway express service even longer. Houston also ran Neoplan suburban artics in express service. |
