Unusual for a small agency (as defined by APTA, less than 100 buses). They do a great job, though, they've won the APTA award for best small transit system at least twice (1986 and 1994). And MTD runs a lot of service for a city of that size (a little over 100,000 in the metro area), of course, most of that is driven by the University of Illinois. Go Illini! :) |
