Here's something weird, on weekends a 137 leaves 5 minutes before a 319 for part of the day. But both buses are busy, and if they cut the 137 the 319 would have standees.They should leave those routes alone, period. It'd make better sense to cut the 67 back to Freehold Raceway Mall and have alternating 559's (every other hour) go via the old 67 route to Lakewood. However, there is one 319 run that could be canned, the 4:11pm out of NWK, runs just 1 minute ahead of the 4:45pm out of PABT. They leave from Toms River for ACY at 6:20pm and 6:21pm! If NJT is going ahead with its plans for the 60 route, the 319 runs from NWK would be a waste, as well as those 67X runs to/from Newark. |
