Agreed with the one exception that the casino line run services (i.e. Academy and Greyhound) and NJT largely serve two different demographics....most NJT riders either are regional commuters or have a continuing trip within South Jersey. Not everybody going to AC is heading to a casino.Abandoining the NJT market would either require some form of indirect interlining agreement btwn. Academy or GLI for those passengers or an operating subsidy. In the case of both Academy and GLI over the past two years, they have been cutting capacity rather than adding in response to falling demand for leisure travel to the casinos... |
