From what you guys are saying about the Mack, it's a very different riding experience from the GM Old Looks. I hope to be able to make my way back up there for a ride.Looks, sounds and riding quality make riding a Mack a different experience. I do remember back in the mid 60's, i was riding a Mack C-49DT on the B-68 heading toward Bartel Pritchard Squaw. When we pulled into the Cortelyou Rd stop, anyone including me siting on the rear seat was actually lifted out of our seats since the bus bounced at the intersection. The Mack C-49DT has something in common with an RTS bus. Theres little if any overhang by the rear wheels and the rear door is extra wide. In fact #6259 is the opposite of #2969 in one regard. #2969 has an extra wide from door and a average width driver operated rear door, while #6259 has average width front door and a extra wide driver operated rear door, Yes and I do remember that pole and mini banister by the rear door.
