I hope that never happens but it doesn't seem that far fetched at all. Avella who was running for Mayor against Thompson in the democratic primary actually suggested something like that during the primary debate, to abandon the Second Avenue Subway and spread the funds around to the other boroughs. There may be others who agree with him. |
