Those first 5 MaBSTOA 9000's firstassignment was at the Coliseum Depot. The drivers used to fight with yard dispachers to get one of those sweet sounding 8V-71's. I use to ride them all the time when I lived by the old Bx9 route (Eastchester Road) and these buses would fly down the street and let out a roar when the throttle was cracked open. Man, how I miss the old days!!! MWAP |
