How many people use their MetroCard 5 days a week for more than one month? The cost of loading money from your worn out card to a new card is FREE. Ideal? No. Doable? Absolutely. The reason why MetroCards get stuck is because of the box mechanism. I would not have the transfers coming out of the same slot as the MetroCard goes in, but I didn't design the boxes. When you use your debit card like I do, it gets worn down too. "The EasyPay MetroCard also suffer durable issues and the lag time to replace it." Perhaps a higher quality MetroCard could fix that. Perhaps one can get a six pack of MetroCards linked to the same account so that as one wears down, another can be activated. We do not need to replace the MetroCard NOW for such trivial things. |
