My feeling is that I would prefer to have a dedicated smart card for riding transit as opposed to having to pull out my credit card every time I want to ride NJT, for example. At least, with a smart card (ie. WMATA's SmarTrip), my name and credit/debit card numbered aren't displayed for potential identity thieves. |
