Its the same technology. Go back to school.Unfortunately for you, you're wrong and Terrapin is 100% correct. EZP uses a proprietary transponder to handle toll collection, and your tolls are debited from an EZP account that you periodically refresh with a credit/debit card authorization. The toll booth could care less what credit card you use; it's looking for its own transponder. The upcoming NJT system uses everyone's personal credit card/tap card. You don't wave/tap your Visa at a toll booth and have your toll deducted on the fly from your credit/checking account balance. Unlike EZP, NJT's new system does not require you to create an account with them that you fill with money. Your personal credit/tap card will serve as your monthly pass as well as the source for paying cash fares. Try putting your personal issues with other posters aside and pay attention to the content of what's being discussed. |
