Interstate bus operators must have the full legal name of the operator on both sides of the bus. This is why, despite the NJ TRANSIT logos, all NJT buses are labeled "Operated by: N. J. Transit Bus Operations, Inc." (their legal name), just as all Hounds are labeled "Operator: Greyhound Lines, Inc."

There is no exception to USDOT carriers, whether truck or bus. The MTA service trucks you noted are not legally labeled.
