Believe it or not it can be just as difficult in some cases to track down the history of bus routes in more well-known systems, such as that of New York City.Your best bet, if the libraries are not helping, is the memories of actual people who may have used the buses back then. Track down some elders / senior citizens whose memories can be decently trusted and who used the buses a lot during the time period you are interested in. If your interest is really deep you may want to put an ad out in some magazine or newspaper for such people, and perhaps if you think it is worth it and you have the money, offer a reward for anyone who assists you, like a $5 or $10 thank-you check. I'm not saying this is going to work; I'm just making suggestions. |
