I would have thought that scrapyards recoup some of what they lay out to purchase old buses in sale of spares, reconditioned units and such. I doubt there would be much demand for those removed from 'heritage' buses. I further doubt the old buses would, therefore, be of as much value to them as something such as an RTS (for example); with vehicles of the same generation as RTSes being still in widespread use, there will still be a healthy demand for salvageable spares. |
