State Street between Broadway and the State Capitol is great for photography, especially in the afternoon when every private suburban carrier is starting their outbound runs. One of said carriers, Yankee Trails, has wrapped 96A3's and ad-painted MC9's.Other good places in Albany to bus watch are: * Ten Eyck Plaza, right north of State and Pearl (where about 10 routes stop at the start/end of their runs) * Lark Street at Washington Avenue, adjacent to the under-renovation Armory (a major transfer point) * The underpass at Orange Street and Broadway (another key layup lot) and the layup lot adjacent to the pit known as the Greyhound station * Colonie Center (where the LED sign cutaways run on the ShuttleFly plus one of only two spots in the system where all 3 divisions meet) * Crossgates Mall (home of the test real-time info signs and where the older Ford Cutaways rule the ShuttleBug) |
