However, the operational savings by having shorter running times would more than offset a few fare evaders. Plus, those that would happen to successfully cheat the system will have to pay eventually unless that is the only route they ever use. If they are connecting to the subway or another route that doesn't have the third door, they'll have to pay to ride....It all catches up to them in the end, whether it's finally getting caught or having to pay to continue on. |
