Nice pics!

4166 apparently has a smaller grille covering the LNG tank in the rear (with the reduced space being used to display the Valley Metro website). Also these buses have been fully rehabbed with new windows and seat cushions (they needed a good cleaning as they were quite dusty inside).

6187 has the second worst color scheme in the entire Phoenix metropolitan area. The first is 6181, which is the Tempe In Motion house "color" scheme, although originally it was the Tempe in Motion 10th Anniversary bus and had attractive rainbow handprints all over the exterior of the bus (I had one just behind the rear door). They were removed after a year because they were peeling off and now the bus is in an ultra-dull canvas scheme. Although the FLASH runs around Arizona State University, ASU's colors are maroon and gold, not this awful green color scheme that they have now. If they wanted to be cheap and paint the bus a single color scheme with number and logo decals, at least they could have painted it all maroon.

Note that the Orbit buses have a similar color scheme design but with an attractive darker blue, which at least has some reference to the bus name (blue is supposed to invoke thoughts of outer space). However, the green on the FLASH bus makes me think of nothing but vomit. Honestly I think the Valley Metro scheme that 6184-6186 and 6188 are in (these buses have no fareboxes and are FLASH buses despite having the Valley Metro standard green and purple) is way better than that thing.

On the other hand, the METRO Light Rail colors are very attractive (they are of course similar to the RAPID color scheme). When Valley Metro was thinking about their new color scheme in 2006 I thought that they would repaint all of their vehicles in this attractive metallic green and silver scheme. The new Valley MetroLink (arterial BRT) color scheme also looks nice, although I honestly think they should have named it RAPID like the corresponding Phoenix service.
