The NJ Tours name was killed prior to the 1987 UMTA ruling that prohibited full charter rights, but NJT continued to charter buses and run tours until that ruling. NJ Transit of course inherited the full US and Canada charter rights of Public Service/Transport of New Jersey, and simply maintained charters and tours under their ICC license. NJT ran package tours as long as 14 days, although TNJ did have tours as long as 30 days prior to the sale to the state - yep, 30 days in a TNJ Buffalo. |
