Allegedly, 30% of the Staten Island local bus fleet has no air conditioning. This is according to a driver. While he is far from being one of my pals, he knows more than he doesn't know about his depot.If what he says is correct, then I would venture to say that SI's maintenance improvements are still inadequate to service the fleet. It would also reinforce my opinion that they do not have the resources to break in the NGs. |
