Notice how certain issues (especially the bottoming out of the VII) were not accounted for in the first sizeable batches. How many buses did QV and WF have to get modified? My point is that large initial batches of bus types generally have teething problems. I don't remember hearing about Toronto having problems with their VIIs either and they got theirs before NYCT.I'm not going to say that the Orion VIIs are garbage. It is obvious that Orion is trying very hard to get things right and it is beginning to show. However, SI is not the place to break in modified types of buses because they do not have the maintenance resources to do it. |
